10:30AM: Membership Social

11:00AM: Floral Design with Peonies Seminar with award winning National Garden Club floral design judge, Letti Delk.
Letti will share her favorite tips for designing floral arrangements with peonies. She'll be demonstrating just how to create the beautiful designs you see at flower shows and will explain design techniques. The arrangements she creates for us could be entered in competition or enjoyed at home.

12:30PM: Minnesota Peony Society Business meeting. Come and learn more about what we have in store for 2012.

  1:00PM: Peony Culture Seminar: "Award Winning Peonies" with Harvey Buchite, owner of Hidden Springs Flower Farm
Come and view 75 beautiful photographs of the best garden peonies in a colorful Powerpoint presentation. APS Gold Medal winning and Award of Landscape Merit peonies will be shown and described. Gardeners looking for the highest quality peonies will find this a perfect opportunity for helping them make selection for their gardens. Harvey will discuss the award winning tree peonies, Itoh (intersectional hybrids) the garden hybrids, and our beloved garden peony. Practical peony growing information is included. Bring your questions and don’t miss this opportunity to learn from one of the region's best peony growers!

“Art in Bloom” at the Minneapolis Institute of Art
The MPS will for the first time be sponsoring a floral design at the Minneapolis Institute of Art’s “Art in Bloom.” We are pleased to be participating in their four-day festival of fresh floral arrangements and fine art. In February we’ll post on our web site the title of the work of art we’ll be interpreting

May 26th
We’ll have a day of hands-on peony culture and camaraderie in the peony garden of members of the MPS. Watch for information in your newsletter!
